Black Pepper Chicken Wings With Chilli Oil
Chicken wings make everything better!
If you are a non vegetarian, then you definitely crave a juicy piece of chicken wing from time to time. Yummy, flavourful chicken inside and that lovely crunch on the outside. There are no words to express the feeling.
This is a super easy chicken wings recipe and pairs fantastically with our very own World's Greatest Chilli Oil.
Here in the Sassy house we are fans of the chicken wing - spicy, crunchy, grilled, creamy we want them all!
This recipe does not take very long to prepare. We would recommend marinating the chicken for as long as possible as it enhances the flavour in the chicken. The same recipe can be replicated with any other pieces of chicken apart from the wing.
Servings 2-3 persons
For marinating the chicken
500 gm Chicken wings
1 tbsp crushed black pepper (optional)
1.5 tsp Garlic powder
1.5 tsp Paprika
1 tbsp Lemon juice
Salt as per taste
In a bowl combine all marination ingredients. Mix well to form a dry rub marinade. Add the chicken pieces to the bowl and combine. The chicken should be completely dry. Pat any excess water dry before you toss it in the dry rub. Leave to marinate for a few hours or overnight.
Pan frying the Chicken
Heat oil on medium - high heat in a pan. Wait for the oil to become hot and sizzle. This will take a few minutes so be patient!
Once hot, add a few pieces of chicken to the pan. Add only a few pieces at a time to avoid overcrowding the pan. Fry the chicken piece for 6-8 mins per side. Make sure to keep the heat at medium to high and adjust accordingly so the chicken cooks from the inside and does not burn on the outside.
Once cooked, drain out the pieces on a wire rack or crumpled aluminium foil and rest for 2-3 minutes.
Serve hot with tonnes World's Greatest Chilli Oil!
